Some Interesting Photos by DR

"The Red Door" is actually a composite of many shots based on the artwork of David Hockney who would use a whole roll of film to photograph one object or environment in this manner. Then he would put them all together like I have done. This photo is of the old Opera House in Virginia City, Nevada. It has such character and personality. The technique lent itself well to this composition.

ALthough you may not recognize this as a "photograph" on the left, it has become a component of one of my graphic artworks using Photoshop.
It has a "redrose" Beauty and the Beast kind of feel to it. Comment if you would on any of the photos in this blog. I Like to know what you think!

The above photo is a panoramic of (another!) sunset on the Gulf with many shots stitched together. In actuality it is about ten feet long and four feet wide. Quite dramatic...And it really was a pretty sunset. Welcome to Florida!

This was taken in Puerto Rico on a trip with my friend, Glorita. This pile of cars was just too much to resist for a photo! I titled it, "Where's my car parked?" If you have ever been to Puerto Rico you know what I am talking about...

Shot  in Cayman Islands this was used as the cover for a travel magazine. Great color, nice composition and a wonderful memory of Cayman! Expecting to go again and take more beautiful photos of the island, one of my favorite places.
